Pre-conference short courses and workshops will be organized to cater for the need of the international rock mechanics/engineering and geo-engineering community.

Invitation To Submit Proposals for Short Courses

The organizers of the conference would like to encourage potential instructors to submit proposals to teach 1-day or 2-day short course(s) beween January 4th and 6th, 2009. The proposals should include the following sections and be limited to a maximum of two pages of size 8.5 x 11 inches:

1. Title and day(s) of the short course.
2. Name(s) of instructor(s) and his/her (their) contact information.
3. Objectives and content of the short course
4. Who will benefit from the short course
5. Time schedule for the short course (each day)
6. Brief biography of instructor(s)
