maximum length of the paper is limited to 8 pages for a regular paper, and 12 pages
for a special or possible special paper. Please upload your paper electronically
to the website: http://www.jointedrock2009.org
before the August 15, 2008 deadline. You will need your user account login information
(username and password) to upload the paper to the website. If you have forgotten
your password, please send an e-mail to kulatila@u.arizona.edu
to obtain that information. The PDF format is preferred in uploading the paper.
If it is unavailable, use MS WORD (DOC) to upload the paper. When uploading each
paper, you will be requested to name a presenter/registrant to go with the paper.
For regular papers, you may indicate your preference between an oral presentation
and a possible poster session (if the number of accepted papers exceeds the available
number of oral presentation slots) in uploading your paper. At present, we do not
expect to have a poster session and intend to assign an oral presentation slot for
each accepted paper.
Each paper will be reviewed by at least two reviewers who have expertise
on the topic dealt with. The papers accepted for presentation will be included in
the proceedings. All papers accepted for the conference constitute an agreement
that the author(s) pay a non-refundable paper deposit of US$ 175 per each paper
when the final paper is accepted on September 30, 2008, and will register for the
conference at the appropriate fee(s), attend the conference, and present the paper
in person. The registration fee includes the paper deposit for only one paper. In
the case of an author delivering more than one presentation, the author should pay
the registration fee plus US$ 175 for each additional paper as the
paper deposit for the remaining papers (presentations). English shall be the official
language throughout the conference. Full papers will be made available to conference
participants on CD. The final paper abstracts will be included with the conference
program on hard copy format.
